Huntin' Land | EP8 | Resource Stewwardship

This is Huntin' Land, the podcast for Land Hunters and Landowners; with Real Time Rut Reports, Waterfowl Migrations, and How-to's for Habitat Management and Land Investment.

This week Jay Graddick from Skinner's Wild Game Processing brings us a Rut Report for South Alabama, and a rut report for DEEP South Alabama. You know, where they say anyone above I-10 is a Yankee. The bucks are starting to fall, but you'll have to tune in to find out which tactics are working and why. Don't miss this weeks Alabama rut report.

After the rut report, the focus of this week's show is Resource Stewardship, and what do we mean by resource STEWARDSHIP? We mean the wise use and responsible stewardship of our wildlife and related natural resources. Resource stewardship is important to many landowners but most do not know that there are many free programs available to them which an help them in creating a plan for their land. We're interviewing Drew Arnold of the Alabama Wildlife Federation to discuss their FREE resource stewardship programs.

The Alabama Wildlife Federation has been by providing on-the-ground wildlife and land management assistance to private landowners since 1999. AWF’s land and resource stewardship biologists have provided professional recommendations to more than 1,000 landowners covering almost one million acres of land. We cover what types of programs AWF participates in, discuss some specific success cases where wildlife habitat has been maintained or improved all while balancing the income and investment goals of the landowner.

You don't want to miss this show, where each week we keep you up to date on dynamics in Land investment such as current wildlife management trends like bobcat trapping, coyote trapping, raccoon trapping, opossum trapping and anything else the American landowner wants to know.
